A Day of Delicious Destination Dining on 19th Ave in Capitol Hill

It is no secret that Capitol Hill is one of our very favorite Seattle neighborhoods, and we especially love the Steven’s Addition area of Capitol Hill. Like much of Seattle, 19th Ave E has been changing a lot in recent years, and we are absolutely loving all of the fantastic dining options here! There is a little bit of everything—bakeries where you can grab breakfast, laid-back eateries that are perfect for a quick bite or takeout to enjoy at Miller Park, trendy eateries that are perfect for a night out with your besties, and more.

Here are our recommendations for dining out on 19th Ave in Capitol Hill:

Breakfast & Brunch: Get the Day Started Right!

Bounty Kitchen is the new brunch game in town, and they’ve got a menu filled with fresh, local, and organic eats. Bounty Kitchen Capitol Hill is where Tallulah’s used to be (sigh, we’re sad to see Tallulah’s go), and they have the perfect patio for brunch in the sun! Scrambles, breakfast sandwiches, oats, griddle cakes and much more are all hearty options here.

Macrina Bakery & Cafe on 19th Ave in Capitol Hill

For something a little lighter or a great to-go option, stop by Macrina Bakery. They have a few locations throughout Seattle, including right on Aloha and 19th. Fresh bagels, breakfast sandwiches, quiche, etc. are all on the breakfast menu but they of course have an extensive pastry selection as well! And of course, a day in Seattle wouldn’t be complete without a rave-worthy cup of coffee—stop by Fuel Coffee to get your caffeine fix.

Where to Grab Lunch on 19th Ave in Capitol Hill

“Souvlaki, soups, salads from scratch from 2004” = Vios Cafe & Marketplace , a Greek cafe where you can get classic Mediterranean fare. Pita sandwich wraps, souvlaki plates, Greek salads, traditional appetizers (like hummus, tzatziki, babaganoush, dolmas, spanakopita, etc.), and there’s even a special kid’s menu! Check out the complete menu here.

Zeek’s Pizza on 19th Ave in Capitol Hill

Zeeks Pizza has several locations throughout the Northwest. This is the perfect spot to pick up a pizza for a laid-back hangout at home, or take it to Miller Park to enjoy in the sunshine. Zeeks also has several beers on tap and you can even get growlers to go.

Rocket Taco on 19th Ave in Capitol Hill

Rocket Taco is another great spot for picnic takeout—they’ve all about fresh ingredients and they have tons of vegan and vegetarian options. Rocket Taco has an extensive menu with tacos, burritos, and even breakfast tacos and burritos. (Also… they’ve got a Churro Waffle on the menu. Um, yes please…!)

Cone & Steiner on 19th Ave in Capitol Hill

Cone & Steiner is another awesome local option for picking up delicious eats. Cone & Steiner was originally established in Seattle in 1915, and then it was re-established here in 2014. Here you can pick up locally made items that make for a perfect gift, grocery and household items, deli food and prepared food items ready for a picnic at the park, beer, cider, wine, and more.

A lot of the restaurants we just mentioned serve dinner too, but the very BEST place for dinner on 19th Ave is Monsoon Seattle. Head to this popular, trendy spot for Modern Vietnamese food that embraces Pacific Northwest ingredients from local farms whenever possible. Monsoon also does an awesome dim sum brunch! (Monsoon is from the Saigon Siblings Restaurant Group, which also brings us Ba Bar.)
